ACCESSIBILITY

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) was introduced on June 13, 2005 to help identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities.

The Town of Bruce Mines is committed to satisfying the standards provided by the Act and to improving access and opportunity
for people with disabilities. These are:

  • Customer Service
  • Transportation
  • Information and Communications
  • Design of Public Spaces
  • Employment

To support this the following Policies and documents have been put in place. These are subject to regular review and will be updated as and when a need is identified or when a change in the standards dictate.

The Town of Bruce Mines welcomes public input on accessibility issues. It helps identify areas where changes need to be considered and ways in which we can improve the delivery of accessible goods and services.
